What You'll Do
VisionFirst has an immediate opening for an Optometric Scribe to join our Salem, IN office. This is an excellent opportunity to join an employee-owned practice and help to provide the best level of care for our patients. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Accurately document patient history, chief complaints, exam findings, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in real time during exams
- Ensure data is entered efficiently and accurately in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system
- Assist with patient flow by preparing charts
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, doctors, and other members of the team.
What We're Looking For

- Detail-oriented and organized under pressure
- Team player who is dependable and takes ownership
- Prior optometry or medical office experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person
