Lifetime Eyecare is a growing, patient-focused optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care to our community. Our team works together to create a welcoming environment while delivering high-quality medical and vision services. We are currently looking for a motivated and dependable Optometric Technician to join our team.

Position overview:

The optometric technician plays an essential role in supporting the doctor and ensuring a smooth patient experience. This position    involves working closely with patients to gather medical information, perform pre-testing, assist with procedures, and help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.

Duties:


  • Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and conduct thorough intake processes to gather relevant medical history and reason for visit.
  • prepare patients for examinations by preforming preliminary tests including autorefractor, visual acuity assessment, intraocular pressure measurement, OCT and retinal imaging, and Visual Field testing.
  • Contact lens insertion and removal training education with patients.
  • Assist the optometrist during eye exams by setting up equipment, recording findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) system, Revolution.   
  • Maintain patient records with strict adherence to HIPPA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive health information.
  • Support optical services by helping patients select eyewear, demonstrating retail sales techniques, and managing inventory with retail math skills.
  • Ensure a clean, organized clinical environment by following aseptic procedures and maintaining medical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in an optometry or ophthalmology office preferred.
