What You'll Do
Clinical Care
Perform preliminary ophthalmic and optometric testing, including visual acuity, tonometry, auto-refraction, auto-keratometry, color vision, and stereo acuity testing.
Conduct diagnostic testing, including fundus photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and visual field testing.
Prepare patients for examinations by collecting medical history and documenting accurate clinical information.
Assist optometrists during patient examinations and perform delegated clinical duties within the scope of training.
Educate patients on testing procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
Patient Experience & Clinic Operations
Escort patients throughout their visit and help maintain efficient patient flow.
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with patient registration as needed.
Support front office and optical operations to ensure seamless patient care.
Equipment & Quality Assurance
Clean and disinfect examination rooms and equipment between patients following infection prevention protocols.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and quality checks on ophthalmic equipment.
