Optometrist - Primary Eye Care Opportunity in Chalmette, LA

  • Employment Type: Contract/Per Diem
  • Licensure/Certifications: Valid Optometrist license in Louisiana (or eligible)
  • Experience: Preferred but not required; experience in contact lens practice or ocular disease is a plus

What You’ll Do
  • Provide primary eye care services to a diverse patient population
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and evaluate ocular health
  • Assist with contact lens fitting and adjustments
  • Collaborate closely with ophthalmologists and other specialists
  • Manage patient concerns and document clinical findings accurately
  • Support the integrated practice model and internal referral network
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and safety
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid Optometrist license in Louisiana (or eligible)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:
  • Experience with contact lens practice
  • Knowledge of ocular diseases
  • Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting
