    Role Description The Optometrist will provide full-scope optometric care, including comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, and prescription of glasses and contact lenses. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, performing refractions and diagnostic testing, counseling patients on treatment options and preventive eye health, and documenting findings in the practice’s record system. The Optometrist will collaborate with support staff and other eye care professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive experience. Participation in practice growth activities such as patient education, community outreach, and maintaining strong professional relationships is expected. This is a full-time, on-site role based at The Eyecare Center in Las Vegas, NV.

    Qualifications

    • \n
    • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution and current, or eligible, Nevada state optometry license.
    • \n
    • Clinical proficiency in comprehensive eye exams, refraction, contact lens fitting, and management of common ocular conditions.
    • \n
    • Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care clearly and respectfully.
    • \n
    • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff, supporting a team-oriented and inclusive practice culture.
    • \n
    • Comfort with electronic health records, diagnostic equipment, and willingness to learn new technologies and procedures.
    • \n
    • Commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory patient care and adherence to professional and regulatory standards.
    • \n
    • Prior experience in a medical or retail optometry setting is beneficial but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
