About the FacilitiesHopi Health Care Center (HHCC) is an AAAHC-accredited facility and the only healthcare center on the Hopi Reservation, serving approximately 18,000 patients. The dedicated optometry clinic features two exam lanes, averaging 12–14 patients per day. Fort Yuma Health Care Center (FYHCC) in Winterhaven, CA serves the Quechan Tribe community.

Optometrist — RESPONSIBILITIES- Comprehensive eye examinations, vision assessments, and refractions.
- Diagnose and manage ocular disease and refractive error.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and ophthalmic medications.
- Perform minor ocular procedures within scope of practice.
- Document encounters in the facility EHR per established protocols.
Optometrist — REQUIREMENTS- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited institution.
- Current, active optometry license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Prescriptive authority for ophthalmic medications.
- IHS, tribal, or community health experience preferred.
