Position Highlights

HealthPlus Staffing is seeking an Optometrist to join one of the largest and most respected community health organizations in Southwest Georgia. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice comprehensive optometry within a collaborative, integrated healthcare model focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

As part of a nationally recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), you will work alongside primary care providers and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals while providing comprehensive vision care across both traditional clinic settings and school-based health centers. This position offers an outstanding Monday–Friday schedule, a $50,000 sign-on bonus, competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an underserved community.

Practice Details

  • Full-time employed position
  • Monday through Friday schedule

  • Provide comprehensive eye care services to pediatric and adult patients

Clinical Opportunity

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of ocular diseases and vision conditions
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Detect and monitor systemic health conditions through comprehensive eye evaluations
  • Educate patients on vision health, disease prevention, and treatment options
  • Coordinate care with primary care physicians and specialty providers when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record
  • Participate in an integrated care model focused on improving overall patient health outcomes
  • Build long-term patient relationships while delivering compassionate, evidence-based eye care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $150,000 – $212,000 per year

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited School of Optometry
  • Active Georgia Optometry license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong clinical knowledge in comprehensive eye care and disease management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Georgia Optometry license
  • Previous experience in a community health center, primary care, or integrated healthcare setting
  • Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patient populations
  • Passion for serving medically underserved communities
