Day to Day:

  • Provide optical services within the clinic setting, including eye exams, and treatment of conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism for low-income and other marginalized communities in the Sunnyside, WA area.
  • Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses; provide low vision aids and vision therapy; diagnose eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and conjunctivitis; and participate in pre- or post-operative care.
  • Perform timely and accurate medical record documentation; actively participate in staff meetings, quality assurance activities, and peer review as directed; maintain an organized, clean, efficient, and confidential work area.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Optometry degree and Washington State Optometry license
