Job Title: OR Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA)
Location: Happy Valley, OR / Oregon City, OR
Work Setting: Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM
Pay: $62.40–$88.11/hr

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced **Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)** to support the surgical team during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
* Provide surgical exposure, tissue handling, suturing, hemostasis, and instrumentation support.
* Assist with patient positioning, preparation, draping, and transfer.
* Support anesthesia during induction and participate in surgical time-outs.
* Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field.
* Assist with room setup, turnover, equipment, and instrumentation.
* Provide appropriate pre- and post-operative patient care and education.
* Collaborate closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, scrub staff, and other clinical teams.
* Participate in regional on-call rotation for elective, urgent, and emergent cases.

Must-Have Qualifications
* **Oregon RN License**
* **RNFA certification/program completion** from an AORN-recognized program.
* Minimum **2 years of peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a Kaiser Permanente OR**, OR **1 year of RNFA experience** outside or within KP.
* Current **BLS certification**.
* OR nursing experience with strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique.
* Must maintain required RN licensure and **CNOR** continuing education requirements.

Preferred
* 2+ years of RNFA experience.
* **CRNFA certification**.
* **ACLS certification**.
