LifeBridge Health is seeking an OR Registered Nurse for Nights to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our regional healthcare organization in Maryland. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to surgical patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and immediate post-operative phases during night shifts. You will work in a fast-paced, technologically advanced operating room environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care.

In this role, you will conduct thorough patient assessments, verify surgical consents and documentation, and prepare patients and operating rooms for a wide range of procedures. You will be responsible for circulating and/or scrubbing in the operating room, maintaining aseptic technique, managing surgical instruments and supplies, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team. You will administer medications and IV therapies as ordered, monitor patients’ physiological status, and respond promptly to changes in condition during procedures and immediately post-operatively. Accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and strict adherence to patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards will be essential components of your practice.

Working nights, you will independently prioritize care, manage urgent or emergent cases, and participate in on-call coverage as needed. You will collaborate with recovery and inpatient units to ensure safe handoffs and continuity of care, providing clear communication on patient status, operative findings, and post-operative needs. As part of LifeBridge Health, you will contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement, actively participating in quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development.

LifeBridge Health offers a supportive environment that fosters learning and advancement, with access to educational resources, specialty certifications, and career pathways in perioperative and specialty nursing. This position is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about surgical care, thrives in an overnight hospital setting, and is dedicated to improving health and promoting well-being for diverse patient populations in our community.
