This vital role ensures the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing crucial support to surgeons and improving patient outcomes. Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of OR Tech or Surgical Technologist experience
- Proven experience in Neurosurgery, Spine, Orthopedics/Orthospine, or Complex General Surgery (including Bariatrics)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
- BCLS certification required; EPIC system experience preferred
- Prior experience with Level I Trauma cases and Neuro Surgery highly preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in ENT, Vascular, Plastics, or Burns surgeries
- Prior travel or agency experience
- Additional certifications relevant to surgical support
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant clinical operating room experience
- Prior exposure to Level I Trauma and Neuro cases highly valued
Other Requirements:
- Availability for variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and call coverage
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00)
- Ability to manage call requirements from Monday to Friday and weekends
- Valid parking permit through CampusParc (various options available based on preference)
- Must be willing to adapt to unit needs and potential holiday/weekend coverage
