Oracle Cloud Functional Consultant – Order Management, Procurement & Manhattan WMS

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Functional Consultant to lead functional design, business process improvement, and systems integration efforts across Order Management, Procurement, warehouse operations, and Finance.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring Oracle Cloud Order Management and direct experience implementing and integrating Manhattan WMS with Oracle Cloud. This consultant will work closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Accounting, technical development, and integration teams to design scalable end-to-end business processes.

This is not a requirements-gathering-only position. The consultant must be capable of independently leading workshops, challenging existing assumptions, recommending industry best practices, and advising business leaders on the appropriate use of Oracle standard functionality versus customization.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Cloud Order Management

• Independently configure Oracle Cloud Order Management.
• Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot end-to-end order fulfillment flows.
• Configure orchestration processes and fulfillment-line processing.
• Configure pricing, sourcing, ATP/GOP, and order fulfillment rules.
• Support the complete order lifecycle from order creation through fulfillment, shipping, invoicing, returns, and closure.
• Analyze and resolve issues involving order orchestration, fulfillment exceptions, order holds, status updates, and downstream processing.
• Support integrations between Oracle Order Management and warehouse, inventory, shipping, invoicing, and other downstream systems.

Manhattan WMS Integration

• Lead functional design for integrations between Manhattan WMS and Oracle Cloud.
• Support warehouse processes involving picking, packing, shipping, inventory movements, fulfillment execution, and returns.
• Define integration requirements for orders, inventory, shipments, receipts, returns, and order-status synchronization.
• Troubleshoot functional and integration issues between Oracle Cloud and Manhattan WMS.
• Ensure warehouse execution activities are accurately reflected throughout the Oracle order and financial lifecycle.
• Partner with technical integration teams to develop interface mappings, functional specifications, test scenarios, and error-handling processes.

Oracle Cloud Procurement

• Lead Procurement and Procure-to-Pay business process discussions with operational and executive stakeholders.
• Provide functional expertise across:
  • Purchasing
  • Self-Service Procurement and requisitions
  • Purchase Orders
  • Procurement Contracts
  • Supplier Management
  • Receiving
  • Invoice Matching
  • Procure-to-Pay processing
  • Return-to-vendor processes
• Evaluate current-state processes and recommend Oracle Cloud and industry best practices.
• Advise Procurement and Accounting leaders on process improvement, automation, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce unnecessary customizations.

Business Process Leadership

• Lead discovery sessions and functional workshops with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, and Operations stakeholders.
• Document current-state and define future-state business processes.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and control weaknesses.
• Recommend Oracle standard functionality when appropriate and clearly justify any required customization.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, configuration documents, and integration specifications.
• Serve as a trusted functional advisor throughout design, implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Support conference room pilots, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, and post-production support.

Finance and Accounting Alignment

• Work directly with Controllers, Accounting teams, and Finance leadership.
• Evaluate the financial impact of Order Management, inventory, warehouse, Procurement, and fulfillment transactions.
• Understand inventory accounting, shipment, invoicing, receiving, accrual, and invoice-matching implications.
• Translate accounting and financial-control requirements into Oracle functional requirements.
• Ensure operational transactions are properly integrated with downstream financial processes.
• Collaborate with technical developers and integration teams to validate that financial and operational data is complete, accurate, and synchronized.

Required Qualifications

• Strong functional experience with Oracle Cloud Order Management.
• Direct Manhattan WMS implementation experience.
• Proven experience integrating Manhattan WMS with Oracle Cloud.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including:
  • Inventory movements
  • Picking, packing, and shipping
  • Fulfillment execution
  • Receiving
  • Returns and return-to-vendor processing
  • Order and shipment status synchronization
• Experience configuring Oracle Order Management orchestration processes, pricing, sourcing, ATP/GOP, and fulfillment rules.
• Strong understanding of the complete order lifecycle from order creation through invoicing.
• Functional experience with Oracle Cloud Procurement and the Procure-to-Pay lifecycle.
• Experience working with Controllers, Accounting teams, Procurement leaders, Supply Chain teams, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to independently lead business workshops and future-state process design.
• Ability to challenge existing processes and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
• Experience creating functional design documents, process flows, configuration documents, interface requirements, and test scenarios.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with Oracle-to-Manhattan integrations.
• Experience supporting complex warehouse, distribution, retail, manufacturing, or high-volume order fulfillment environments.
• Knowledge of Oracle Inventory Management, Global Order Promising, Pricing, Shipping, Procurement, Receiving, Payables, and Financials.
• Experience supporting Oracle Cloud implementations, upgrades, transformations, or post-production optimization initiatives.
• Experience working with middleware, API, file-based, or event-driven integrations between Oracle Cloud and external warehouse systems.
• Oracle Cloud certifications related to Order Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Financials are preferred.
