IDR is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise Oracle database environments, primarily focusing on Oracle Database 11g. It offers the chance to work within a mission-critical environment, ensuring high availability and performance of databases while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Position Overview for the Oracle Database Administrator:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle Database 11g environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Perform performance tuning, backup and recovery, and ensure high availability solutions are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and infrastructure teams to support database operations.
  • Support database migration, patching, and ongoing performance optimization initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, operational procedures, and conduct troubleshooting to resolve production incidents.

Requirements for the Oracle Database Administrator:

  • Strong experience administering Oracle Database 11g.
  • Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) administration.
  • Linux/UNIX administration and shell scripting skills.
  • Completed Bachelor's Degree
