We provide quality resources in four specialty areas: Information Technology (IT), Clinical Research, Rehabilitation Therapy and Nursing.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Provide support on all the stages of database implementation and/or database related deploymentsParticipate in project meetings, as necessary, to understand application and database requirementsAbility to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issuesRun diagnostic tools to identify database performance bottlenecks, and take appropriate corrective actions to improve database performance. Work with development teams to tune SQL queries.Proactive monitoring of the databasesTroubleshoot Oracle performance and non-performance related issues either independently or in conjunction with other DBAsManage backup/recovery for Oracle instancesManagement of database and resource capacity planning.Implement and enforce database security based upon best practice, SOX regulations, and company policiesInstallation of new Oracle instances and upgradesProvide after-hours support as requiredSetting up and resolving issues with Oracle Data Guard environmentsExperience in task automationScripting language (ksh, perl)Skills/Experience Required:Min. experience of 10+ yr. Oracle DBA requiredProficient and experience with Oracle RAC (design, configuration, installations and tuning), including version Oracle 12c.Proficient and experienced with ASM, RMAN and Active Data Guard database technologies.Strong production support experience within a large financial organization & customer service skillsOracle 11G and 12c Database Administration and Management on HP/Solaris and Linux environmentsOracle internalsProven track record in supporting large number of db simultaneouslyOracle Database Tuning and Performance - usage of statspack, AWR, ADDM, ASH and UNIX native commandsStorage considerations for Oracle Database PerformanceOracle backup and recovery configuration and proceduresOracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control for environment standardizationKnowledge of enterprise data architecture principlesAbility to develop data requirements and configure database parameters accordinglyTakes the initiative to act on issues
