Must Have
Key Responsibilities

• Database Installation & Configuration:

Set up and maintain Oracle databases, including user accounts and storage structures.

• Performance Tuning & Optimization:

Continuously monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and tune queries and configurations to improve speed and efficiency.

• Backup & Recovery:

Develop, implement, and manage database backup strategies to ensure data integrity and enable efficient recovery in case of failure.

• Security Management:

Implement and maintain security policies and access controls to protect the database from unauthorized access and data breaches.

• Troubleshooting:

Investigate and resolve complex database issues, such as performance problems, data integrity issues, and connectivity problems.

• Application Support:

Provide support to application developers, assisting them with database design and development to meet business needs.

• Documentation:

Create and maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and changes.

• Technical Guidance:

Offer technical expertise and guidance to team members on effective database use and best practices.

• Cloud Environment Management:

Experience with Oracle Cloud Control and multi-tenant database architectures is often required for cloud-based roles.
Essential Skills

• Oracle Database Administration: In-depth knowledge and experience with Oracle database technologies.
• Performance Tuning: Proficiency in tools and techniques for optimizing database performance and query execution.
• Backup & Recovery: Strong understanding of backup and restore operations and disaster recovery strategies.
• Scripting: Ability to write shell scripts for automation and administrative tasks.
• Security: Experience implementing and managing database security measures.
