Oracle DBA with PL/SQL & Snowflake

Job Description:

• Oracle DBA with strong PL/SQL development skills to manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments while supporting application development and business-critical systems.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in Oracle Database Administration, PL/SQL programming, performance tuning, backup and recovery, database security, and production support.

Database Administration:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
• Manage database users, roles, privileges, and security policies.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Perform database patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Configure and support Oracle Data Guard for disaster recovery.
• Manage tablespaces, storage, partitions, and database objects.
• Ensure database compliance, security, and operational standards.

PL/SQL Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and cursors.
• Develop complex SQL queries and optimize database code.
• Support application development teams with database solutions.
• Create and maintain stored procedures and ETL processes.
• Debug and troubleshoot PL/SQL code and performance issues.
• Develop database automation scripts and utilities.

Performance Tuning:

• Analyze SQL execution plans and optimize query performance.
• Identify and resolve database bottlenecks.
• Monitor wait events, memory usage, and resource utilization.
• Perform indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Use AWR, ADDM, ASH, OEM, and Statspack reports for performance analysis.

Production Support:

• Provide 24x7 support for critical database environments.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate deployments and database releases.
• Support high-availability and disaster recovery environments.
