Oracle ERP DBA Operations Lead (IT Manager – Senior)King County's Business Resource Center (BRC) is seeking an Oracle ERP DBA Operations Lead (IT Manager – Senior) to join our team. The role supports operations, maintenance, and strategic planning for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure that hosts the County's ERP systems – Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, and Business Intelligence.About the Business Resource CenterThe BRC oversees King County's business systems, including applications, infrastructure, software, and vendor relationships. It supports business processes, system governance, and work prioritization to effectively serve county agencies.Shared Services TeamSpecializes in managing the day‑to‑day operations and maintenance, ensuring performance of ERP systems in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Responsibilities include system security, administration, licensing, training, change management, and help desk support.ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the Shared Services DBA team of database administrators and IT engineers. Oversee day‑to‑day operations, staffing, and performance coaching. Develop strategies that promote equity and inclusion.Oracle ERP and Technology Expertise: Maintain technical and functional knowledge of Oracle ERP database administration for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and EBS 12.2.X. Support installation, patching, upgrading, backup, recovery, tuning, RAC, Data Guard, and DevOps scripting.Operations and Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for system maintenance, application, database, middleware, and security updates. Participate in budgeting, capacity planning, and vulnerability response. Lead upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.Assessment, Planning, and Partnerships: Lead evaluation of new technologies, develop architecture options, and prepare cost proposals. Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to prioritize business and technology needs.Support annual disaster recovery testing and events.QualificationsStrong interpersonal skills and customer‑focused approach.Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle EBS 12.2.X, PeopleSoft HR, and Business Intelligence.Proficiency in Oracle ERP database administration and IT engineering on Oracle cloud.Familiarity with Enterprise Reporting solutions such as BI Publisher, OBIEE, and Oracle Reports.Experience with Jira, ITSM tools (Cherwell, Neurons) and ITIL/ITSM best practices.Education, certification, or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.Demonstrated passion for delivering efficient, accountable government services.Commitment to King County values and continuous improvement.Work ScheduleExempt from overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
