Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Oracle ERP/EDM Techno-Functional Lead to support the implementation, enhancement, and long-term maintenance of Oracle ERP Cloud Financials and Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM). Serves as the functional lead representing Finance and Enterprise Applications during solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support. Ensures Oracle ERP and EDM configurations align with organizational financial policies, governance standards, and reporting requirements.
Partners with Finance, Accounting, IT, Oracle Consulting, and business stakeholders to establish and maintain enterprise master data, chart of accounts, financial hierarchies, reference data, and governance processes. Supports quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, evaluates release impacts, coordinates regression testing, and drives continuous process improvements across Oracle ERP and EDM environments.
Will participate and provide additional support with Oracle Cloud HCM modules including Payroll, Time and Labor, Absence Management, and Basic Scheduling as it relates to overlapping ERP and EDM needs. May oversee additional analysts in the future.
Job Description
- Lead functional workstreams supporting Oracle ERP Cloud Financials and Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
- Partner with Finance leadership, Oracle Consulting Services, and IT to design scalable ERP and master data management solutions.
- Configure and maintain Oracle ERP Cloud modules including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Fixed Assets (FA)
- Cash Management
- Procurement
- Expenses
- Projects (as applicable)
- Configure and administer Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM), including:
- Chart of Accounts management
- Cost Center, Department, Entity, and Business Unit hierarchies
- Segment value governance
- Financial reporting hierarchies
- Request workflows and approvals
- Master data versioning and validation
- Gather business requirements and translate them into Oracle ERP and EDM functional configurations.
- Lead solution design sessions, configuration reviews, and functional validation activities.
- Develop and execute functional test scripts, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Coordinate quarterly Oracle Cloud release impact assessments and validate new functionality.
- Support integrations between Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM applications, third-party systems, payroll, procurement, and data warehouse platforms.
- Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data conversions, reporting, and interface design.
- Support Chart of Accounts redesign initiatives, financial reorganizations, mergers, and organizational hierarchy changes.
- Maintain functional documentation including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Design Documents (FDDs)
- Configuration Workbooks
- Test Scripts
- Process Flows
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Troubleshoot functional issues and provide production support for Oracle ERP and EDM.
- Mentor functional analysts and business users on Oracle ERP Financials, EDM governance, reporting structures, and best practices.
- Promote enterprise data governance and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Facilitate business process design workshops with Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
- Support data migration, validation, reconciliation, and conversion activities.
- Assist with Oracle ERP security role design and segregation of duties reviews.
- Support Oracle Financial Reporting, OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View, and Oracle EPM integrations.
- Maintain enterprise hierarchy governance standards and approval workflows.
- Coordinate issue resolution across Finance, IT, Oracle Support, and implementation partners.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ERP business processes.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
- Maintain configuration documentation and change management records.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, audit requirements, financial controls, and organizational governance standards
Skills Required
- 7+ years of Oracle ERP implementation and support experience.
- 5+ years supporting Oracle ERP Cloud Financials.
- 3+ years supporting Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
- Experience implementing and configuring Oracle Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Procurement.
- Experience supporting Oracle EPM integrations, Financial Consolidation, Planning, or Account Reconciliation is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise master data governance and financial reporting hierarchies.
- Experience supporting Oracle Cloud quarterly updates and release management.
- Experience working in large, complex organizations with multiple business units and legal entities
- Strong knowledge of Oracle ERP Cloud Financials.
- Experience implementing and supporting Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
- Strong understanding of enterprise master data governance.
- Experience with Chart of Accounts design and financial hierarchy management.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial Reporting, OTBI, BI Publisher, and Smart View.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional Oracle solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong documentation and process improvement capabilities.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior functional analysts.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide Oracle Cloud implementations.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred
Certification(S)/NYS Licenses:
- Oracle ERP Cloud Financials Certification preferred
- Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM) experience preferred
- Oracle EPM certification is a plus
- PMP certification is a plus
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay Rate
- $66 - $78 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
