Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Oracle databases on the Exadata platform.
- Perform:
- Installation
- Configuration
- Patching
- Upgrades
- Manage and maintain Oracle Exadata systems.
- Monitor database performance and optimize environments for:
- High availability
- Scalability
- Performance
- Implement and manage:
- Backup strategies
- Recovery strategies
- Disaster recovery solutions
- Troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for database incidents and performance issues.
- Ensure database security and compliance.
- Manage:
- User access controls
- Database permissions
- Security requirements
- Collaborate with application teams on:
- Database design
- Performance tuning
- Application/database integration
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Oracle Database, including:
- Oracle 11g
- Oracle 12c
- Oracle 19c
- Strong understanding of Oracle Exadata architecture.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Oracle RAC
- ASM
- Data Guard
- GoldenGate
- Proficiency in:
- SQL
- PL/SQL
- Database performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of:
- Linux/Unix environments
- Shell scripting
- Experience with:
- Capacity planning
- Database migration projects
