Position Overview

MasTec is undertaking an Oracle Fusion migration that centralizes financial reporting at the corporate level, transitioning away from a model in which reporting was managed independently within each business segment on its own legacy ERP (including JD Edwards, Vista/Viewpoint, and other segment-specific systems). MasTec has prioritized internal candidates for this role but has not yet identified anyone who checks all the boxes, so we are seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion leader to own the function end to end driving conversion and reporting configuration through go-live, and then leading post-go-live support for finance-owned processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the functional lead for Oracle Fusion, owning the finance-side configuration and design decisions that support centralized corporate reporting across business segments (CE&I, Power Delivery, Communications, and corporate).
• Lead or support data conversion activities from multiple legacy ERP systems (including JD Edwards, Vista/Viewpoint, and other segment-specific platforms) into a single Oracle Fusion instance, and reconcile inconsistent data structures, naming conventions, and business rules across those source systems.
• Own core Fusion functional areas: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, chart of accounts, ledger architecture, intercompany accounting, and consolidation.
• Assess and govern master data change requests new accounts, company codes, lines of business, departments, and customer master data ensuring they align to standards before overseeing setup and execution.
• Understand payroll/HCM-related impacts and dependencies on finance processes and reporting, coordinating with the appropriate teams where the two intersect.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and cleanliness issues surfaced during conversion duplicate records, chart of accounts mapping gaps, incomplete master data, and reconciliation breaks.
• Act as translator and advocate for the business, coordinating across accounting, controlling, IT, project managers, and the system integrator to keep configuration and conversion decisions aligned to business needs.
• Validate converted data against source systems and lead reconciliation/testing cycles (unit, system integration, and UAT) for reporting and conversion workstreams.
• Advise leadership on Oracle Fusion best practices and help define the structure, roles, and responsibilities of the team that will support and maintain Fusion after go-live.
• Support organizational change management and business readiness activities in the lead-up to go-live.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Fusion experience, including at least one full-cycle implementation or migration project, ideally in a lead or functional owner capacity.
• Strong functional expertise across GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, chart of accounts, ledger architecture, intercompany, and consolidation.
• Working knowledge of payroll/HCM impacts on finance processes and reporting.
• Direct experience with data conversion/migration into Oracle Fusion from multiple legacy ERP systems (JD Edwards and/or Vista/Viewpoint experience strongly preferred).
• Experience governing master data evaluating and approving requests for new accounts, company codes, lines of business, departments, and customer master data against defined standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with accounting, controlling, IT, PMs, and a system integrator, translating between technical and business needs.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting structures, multi-entity/multi-segment consolidations, and chart of accounts design.
• Ability to advise on organizational/support-model design for post-go-live ERP maintenance and to support business readiness and change management around go-live.
• Strong communication skills, with experience working directly with finance and corporate stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure services industries.
• Prior experience specifically with JDE-to-Fusion and/or Vista-to-Fusion migrations.
• Experience with multi-ERP consolidation projects (bringing several business units off separate systems onto one platform).
• Experience standing up or restructuring an ERP support/maintenance function.
• Institutional knowledge of a large, multi-segment organization's finance operations.
