ITTConnect is seeking a senior Senior Oracle Golden Gate Engineer to work on site for a client in Columbus, OH. This is a contract position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services with over 300,000 team members in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the Utilities sector.

Job location: Columbus, OH (on site work)

Seeking a senior Oracle GoldenGate engineer to support enterprise data replication and modernization initiatives across hybrid cloud and streaming platforms. The role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting real-time CDC pipelines, GoldenGate replication environments, and integrations with Kafka and cloud-based data platforms.

The ideal candidate is highly hands-on with Oracle GoldenGate administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support in large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and support Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions for real-time and near real-time data movement
Configure and maintain:
- Extract
- Pump
- Replicat
- Trail file management
Support:
- CDC pipelines
- low-latency replication
- hybrid cloud data movement
- zero/low downtime migration initiatives
Troubleshoot:
- replication lag
- latency
- checkpoint issues
- transactional inconsistencies
Perform performance tuning and optimization across GoldenGate and Oracle environments
Support integrations with:
- Kafka
- cloud data platforms
- downstream analytics systems
Collaborate with infrastructure, middleware, DevOps, and data engineering teams
Support operational stability, monitoring, and HA/DR initiatives

Requirements

Strong hands-on Oracle GoldenGate experience
- Classic Architecture
- Microservices Architecture (MSA)
Strong Oracle Database knowledge
Experience with:
- CDC
- replication concepts
- transactional consistency
- performance tuning
Linux/Unix administration experience
SQL and scripting experience (Shell/Python)
Experience troubleshooting enterprise replication environments

Preferred Skills

Kafka / streaming platform integration
OCI GoldenGate experience
AWS or Azure exposure
Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization programs
Monitoring tools:
- Splunk
- OEM
- Prometheus
Utility industry experience preferred
