Oracle Hyperion Planning/ Hyperion admin

Responsibility/Expectations of the role:

Working as Hyperion admin, controlling, installing, patching and upgrading of Hyperion Essbase, Weblogic, Oracle HTTPS server and Java.

• Handling security, Role-user creation with in Hyperion system.
• Handling system failures, error debugging, application performance and issues.
• Ensuring compliance and conventions in day to day system monitoring.
• Migration of objects between environments (Dev, Test, Production) using LCM, or manually for earlier versions
• In-depth knowledge of the causes and remedies of performance issues within the Hyperion environment.
• Exposure to Agile methodology is desirable.

Must-Have

• Extensive experience with solution architecture, design, development, migration, and management in an Oracle
• Extensive experience administering, patching Oracle EPM (Essbase, SQR).
• Support and enhance existing Linux shell scripting environment.
• Support existing Essbase security modules running in java.
• Must have hands-on experience in installation, configuration and administration of Hyperion suite of products
• Should be independently able to configure, test and deploy the Hyperion applications
• Must have experience in Hyperion upgrade and migration projects
• Should have experience in Performance tuning and application optimization
• Should have experience in evaluating and installing Hyperion upgrade patches
• Should be able to monitor Hyperion System Logs for errors and outage conditions
• Have experience in Backup and recovery of Hyperion applications
• Can independently handle migration across environments using LCM or manually for earlier versions
• Have experience in administration of Hyperion and troubleshoot issues within Hyperion infrastructure
• Manage the technical documentation of all fixes, versioning, and issues for the suite
• Should have understanding of best practices for Hyperion Upgrade/Implementation
• Should be able to communicate effectively with the client to resolve issues
• Must have Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in working with Business User
