Job Title: Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer
Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Interview Process: 1–2 Technical Interview Rounds followed by a 2-hour onsite hands-on technical assessment (machine test) at Richmond Headquarters.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer to design, implement, administer, and support enterprise Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across Oracle databases, middleware, OCI services, automation, and cloud architecture while ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance of mission-critical systems.
This role requires participation in an on-call support rotation and the ability to provide after-hours and weekend support for planned maintenance, patching, upgrades, deployments, and critical production issues.

Participation in a rotating 24x7 on-call support schedule is required.
Availability during evenings and weekends for:
Planned maintenance windows
Oracle database patching
WebLogic maintenance
OCI infrastructure updates
Emergency production support
Flexibility to work after business hours based on operational requirements and project workload.

Required Technical Skills
Experience with:
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of cloud architecture and cloud-native design principles.
Experience designing and implementing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
Experience monitoring Oracle environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control.
Familiarity with container technologies such as:
Docker
Kubernetes
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript scripting.
Strong understanding of Oracle database security best practices.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI.
Understanding of microservices architecture and API integrations.
Preferred Certifications
One or more Oracle certifications are highly desirable:

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
Oracle Certified Expert (OCE)
