Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Location: Newark, Delaware (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

We are seeking an Application Programmer with extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL and ETL processes. This role involves designing data models to support data warehousing needs and working with various data systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at improving data flow, ensuring data quality, and analyzing large datasets to derive insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytic data requirements.
• Develop and maintain Oracle PL/SQL code and ETL workflows.
• Improve and streamline processes related to data flow and data quality.
• Conduct data analysis on large datasets, identify patterns, and present findings.
• Enhance existing processes and define new ones to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Work collaboratively in an agile development environment.
• Operate with minimal supervision, receiving general guidance from management.

Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelors degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, engineering, or finance.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in the creation of Oracle PL/SQL and ETL work.

Technical Skills:

• Oracle SQL / PLSQL
• Database performance tuning
• Data analysis
• MS SQL Server
• MySQL

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ETL tools such as DataStage, Informatica, or Alteryx.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau or MicroStrategy.
• Experience with job scheduling tools, including Autosys or shell scripts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
