About the Role

The Oral Health Coordinator will play a key role in promoting oral health education and awareness across skilled nursing facilities, schools, early learning centers, and community settings. This role will work closely with CNAs, school nurses, educators, healthcare professionals, families, and community partners to promote preventive oral care and improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver oral health workshops and training programs for CNAs, school nurses, educators, and community partners.
• Create educational resources including guides, checklists, pamphlets, posters, videos, and digital content.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities, schools, healthcare teams, and community organizations.
• Promote the connection between oral health and overall health, particularly among children, seniors, and vulnerable populations.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to healthcare and education professionals.
• Coordinate and participate in health fairs, community outreach events, school programs, and public health campaigns.
• Support program planning, grant proposals, budgeting, data collection, and reporting.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
• Experience delivering health education or training programs, preferably in healthcare, schools, long-term care, or community settings.
• Knowledge of oral hygiene, preventive dental care, common oral health conditions, and behavior-change strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop engaging and accessible educational materials.
• Public health experience preferred.
• Experience with data management, program evaluation, and grant writing is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple programs, training sessions, and community outreach activities.
