Step into a day where the work you do keeps medicines moving to patients who need them. As an Oral Solid Dose Manufacturing Technician on our Manufacturing Operations team, you’ll report to a Shift Supervisor and rotate through core pharmaceutical processes—dispensing, blending and granulation, compression, encapsulation, and coating—gaining new capabilities as you master each area.
You arrive, complete gowning and documentation checks, and set up the dispensing room according to SOPs and the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR). You retrieve and verify approved raw and packaging materials against the Production Batch Record—confirming expiry and retest dates—then issue them and record details in the BMR, inventory cards, and logbooks.
From there, you’ll operate granulation and blending equipment, then move to coating—running Coating Pans (Accela Cota, Compulab) and coordinating with dust collection systems. You shift to drug product formation, compressing and encapsulating as directed by the BMR. In tablet compression, you may run Kilian S520 and Syntheses 500 presses, along with drum lifters, dedusters, metal detectors, scales, micrometers, hardness testers, printers, and inspection machines.
Throughout the shift, you document meticulously, uphold cGMP and Safety Policies, keep areas audit-ready, and clean rooms and equipment (mills, mixers, ovens, granulators, encapsulation and compression assets) per SOPs. You participate in required training, and when needed, wear respiratory protection (with medical clearance). Cross-training continues as you demonstrate proficiency, and you pitch in on other duties as assigned.
