About the Role:Steven D Darmstadt DDS Inc is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team in Anaheim, CA! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced oral surgeon in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.
Responsibilities:- Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and biopsies
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
- Take and process dental X-rays, including panoramic and periapical imaging
- Monitor and support patients during pre-op, procedure, and post-op recovery
- Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately
- Educate patients on post-operative care and answer follow-up questions
- Manage surgical supply inventory and ensure proper equipment maintenance
Requirements:- Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
- Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred in California
- X-ray certification (Radiation Safety) required
- Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
- CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
