Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Chairside assisting during oral surgery procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and sedation cases
  • Preparing and breaking down surgical trays and operatories
  • Assisting with patient monitoring during IV sedation
  • Maintaining sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Supporting patients pre-op and post-op with clear communication and compassion
  • Taking dental radiographs and assisting with digital imaging
  • Keeping surgical days efficient, organized, and patient-focused
Qualifications:

You will be required to possess the following:

 

  • Active Washington, DC Dental Assistant license (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of oral surgery assisting experience (required)
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Experience working in a surgical or sedation environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay calm in fast-paced settings
  • Reliable, professional, and team-focused

Preferred but not required

  • DAANCE certification
  • Specialty dental or oral surgery background
