Responsibilities:
- Work under normal to moderate supervision.
- Perform basic set-ups and operate orbital weld system.
- Perform mechanical set-ups and changeovers for orbital welding machines
- Operate orbital welding equipment and systems in a safe manner.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and follow safety guidelines.
- Prioritize work and execute to hit production schedules and or commitments in accordance with direction of leads and supervisors.
- Work from schedules, shop orders, established procedures, blueprints, and product specifications.
- Fit, align, and precisely orbital weld product to meet product/customer requirements, specifications, and workmanship standards.
- Identify deviations that can potentially interrupt productivity.
- Maintain logs and other necessary documents.
- Measure and verify dimensions using inspection tooling.
- Demonstrate ability to process and inspect in accordance to prints.
- Collaborate with Engineering to develop advanced welding processes as needed.
- Assist team members to maintain departmental standards including quality goals and on-time delivery goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined.
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Ability to handle fragile products, perform repetitive tasks and demonstrate safety awareness.
- Mini Head experience is a plus.
- Proficiently use all approved hand gauges to inspect component quality at the work center.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 35lbs
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, correspondence, and documents.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
- Ability to read testing and measuring instruments, record test results, and write related reports.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
