DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and deliver engaging developmentally appropriate string music instruction for intermediate 4-6 and junior-senior high school 7-12 students in collaboration with fellow music educators.
Prepare students for performances and school events while fostering musical growth through a variety of instructional approaches and materials.
Maintain regular communication with students, families, and staff regarding classroom activities, student progress, and upcoming events using appropriate platforms.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Training and Experience Required Bachelors Degree
Valid Indiana Secondary Teachers License in Fine Arts - Instrumental & General Music P-12 Education or pending licensure
Displays excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
Experience working in a school environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics
Displays positive and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to work as a team with other staff
Ability to work collaboratively with a dynamic and diverse educational community
Experience with blended project-based teaching methodologies and technology-based instruction
Displays dependability and punctuality
Preferred willingness to sponsor an extracurricular group
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position works indoors in a typical school classroom environment
May work near others often within a few feet
May occasionally be exposed to noise levels that are distracting
