Job Title: Order Entry Specialist
Location: Mount Pleasant, PA (100% Onsite)
Duration: Contract with potential extensions and/or conversion to full time (dependent on business needs and performance)

Position Overview

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry Specialist to support a global industrial leader in Mount Pleasant, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service throughout the order lifecycle.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of coordination for customer orders, ensuring accurate order processing, contract compliance, and seamless communication between internal teams and customers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and committed to providing an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review customer contracts to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms, conditions, and requirements.
  • Process customer orders accurately while monitoring order status from entry through fulfillment.
  • Coordinate communication between customers and internal departments to resolve issues, meet delivery schedules, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the order management team during internal meetings and collaborate across functions to support successful order execution.
  • Ensure all orders comply with company policies, procedures, and execution best practices.
  • Monitor order progress, financial performance, and resource utilization to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks while proactively pursuing opportunities to improve order execution.
  • Capture and communicate lessons learned throughout the order lifecycle to support continuous process improvement.
  • Facilitate order acceptance, contract close-out activities, and documentation.
  • Monitor customer payments and assist in resolving collection or billing discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of experience in order management, commercial operations, project coordination, or a related field; or
  • Associate's degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical environment is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Experience with SAP or another ERP system is preferred.
