Order Filler

To pick store orders as they become available on a daily basis. Positions within this department include: Order Filling Associate, Order Filling Trainers and Order Filling Leads.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Order Filling Associate

•    Pick orders in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on accuracy. 

•    Follow all picking methods described in the Order Filling hand book in order to maintain a high level of picking accuracy.

•    Fill, stack and deliver orders to shipping in a safe and efficient manner in order to prevent injury to employees and damage to product.

•    Use all machinery i.e. forklifts, order selectors, and riding pallet jacks in a safe manner.

•    Practice good housekeeping and follow the clean as you go method. 

•    Perform daily safety checks on assigned equipment. 

•    Assist with inventory control by performing cycle counts accurately. 

•    Perform any other assigned duties.

Required Skills for Order Filling Associates

•    Have the ability to use RF devices, computers and have basic math skills.

•    Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Education and Training

All Order Filling Associates should possess a High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

This position involves a variety of physical activities including:  talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. This position requires regular bending, twisting, overhead lifting, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.  Visual acuity is required for inventory stocking and report analysis.

•    Indoor temperatures will fluctuate by season – may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

•    The operation of, or work near the operation of motorized handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, conveyor controls, pallet turn tables, elevated dock doors, etc.
