Your day-to-day
- Be the primary point of contact linking customers with planning, sales, manufacturing, and scheduling.
- Validate each customer PO and specification against the quote; correct and communicate discrepancies for efficient, cost-effective manufacturing.
- Set and share ship dates; keep customers and sales informed on job status.
- Record every job change promptly; communicate pricing changes accurately.
- Open job orders with complete, accurate information for all departments.
- Oversee customer-owned inventory (materials and finished goods); coordinate with shipping so releases are handled quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with production planning to ensure jobs are aligned to profitable and contractual criteria.
- Follow ISO SOPs as trained.
- Troubleshoot and resolve credit and quality issues.
- Capture customer complaints, provide documented feedback to Sales and Quality, and follow through with customers so they know action is being taken.
- Ask targeted questions to gather all inputs required for quotes, quality needs, and pricing; include that information in RFQs.
- Send quoted prices promptly; maintain a well-organized quote library and reference similar work to help estimating/job planning.
- Engage in continuous quality and process improvement efforts.
