Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable and hardworking Order Pickers / Packers for a busy distribution center in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for accurately picking, verifying, and packaging merchandise for shipment to retail locations while maintaining established productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
This is a fast-paced warehouse position requiring employees who can remain physically active throughout the workday, maintain strong attention to detail, and consistently meet daily production goals.
Candidates must have at least 1 year of relevant experience, with 3 years preferred, along with basic computer skills and the flexibility to perform multiple warehouse functions as needed.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of relevant warehouse experience required
3 years of experience preferred
Order picking, packing, or distribution experience preferred
Basic computer skills required
Ability to accurately verify item numbers and quantities
Strong attention to detail and order accuracy
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to meet established productivity goals
Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team
Flexibility to perform different warehouse functions as needed
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Dependable attendance and punctuality
High school diploma or equivalent required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Pick merchandise according to assigned orders
Pack merchandise into boxes or appropriate shipping containers
Prepare completed orders for shipment to retail locations
Verify item numbers before packing
Confirm quantities for accuracy
Review packing labels and shipment information
Inspect merchandise for visible damage or quality concerns
Separate damaged or incorrect products when necessary
Use RF scanners or other tracking systems when applicable
Maintain accurate order and product information
Meet established packing and productivity standards
Maintain accuracy while working at production pace
Keep assigned work areas clean and organized
Follow all company warehouse and safety procedures
Assist with other warehouse functions as assigned
Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily department goals
Order Picking Responsibilities
Depending on assignment, associates may:
Review customer or store orders
Locate required merchandise
Pull correct products and quantities
Verify item numbers
Prepare merchandise for packing
Use RF scanners when applicable
Identify missing or incorrect products
Stage completed orders for the next step in the shipping process
Packing Responsibilities
Select appropriate boxes or shipping containers
Pack merchandise safely and efficiently
Verify products before sealing packages
Confirm quantities against applicable order information
Apply or verify packing labels
Help protect products from damage during transportation
Prepare completed packages for shipment
Maintain consistent packing quality throughout the shift
RF Scanner & Computer Responsibilities
Candidates should be comfortable using or learning:
RF scanners
Basic warehouse tracking systems
Basic computer applications
Electronic order information
Inventory or shipment data
Basic computer proficiency is required for this position.
Quality & Accuracy
Verify item numbers before shipment
Confirm order quantities
Inspect products for visible damage
Review labels for accuracy
Identify incorrect merchandise
Maintain accuracy while meeting production goals
Report recurring product or order discrepancies
Help prevent incorrect orders from being shipped

3+ years of warehouse experience
Order Picker experience
Packer experience
Distribution center experience
RF scanner experience

Previous production or fulfillment experience
Basic warehouse computer-system experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
Frequent squatting, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to sit or stand depending on assigned warehouse duties
Ability to perform repetitive picking and packing movements
Comfortable remaining physically active throughout the shift
Ability to safely handle merchandise and shipping materials
Ability to wear all required PPE
Work Environment
Fast-paced warehouse and distribution center environment
Regular work involving merchandise, boxes, RF scanners, shipping materials, and warehouse equipment
Physically active position requiring frequent movement and repetitive tasks
Shift begins at 5:00 AM and ends when daily work is completed, typically between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM
Daily end times may vary based on workload
