Order Puller/Material Handler+Gate Fitter

Position Overview

This role combines warehouse material handling with light fabrication. The employee will pull orders, stage materials, operate a forklift, and work outdoors in the heat. A major part of the job is being a fitter — installing hinges, latches, brackets, and hardware onto gates before they ship. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and stage daily material orders (pipe, pickets, wire, hardware, etc.)
• Operate a forklift safely to load/unload trucks and move inventory
• Work outdoors in hot conditions for extended periods
• Fit and assemble gate hardware:
• • Install hinges, latches, drop rods, brackets
  • Verify alignment, spacing, and hardware placement
  • Ensure gates match the work order and customer specs
• Inspect materials for damage or incorrect sizing
• Maintain a clean, organized yard and warehouse
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
