Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Order Selector/Forklift Operator to join their warehouse team near Albany, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and wrapping customer orders, operating a forklift to load/unload trucks, and selecting orders off the shelves. This role requires commitment to safety and efficiency and a proactive approach to keeping the warehouse organized and clean.
Responsibilities of the
Order Selector/Forklift Operator will include:
* Accurately pick, pack, and wrap customer orders to meet delivery deadlines.
* Operate forklifts and other equipment to load/unload trucks and select orders from shelving units.
* Safely use manual and powered warehouse equipment.
* Sort and organize products in their designated warehouse locations.
* Assist in general warehouse upkeep, including cleaning and organizing.
* Participate in other warehouse tasks as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications of the
Order Selector/Forklift Operator:- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous forklift experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and effectively multi-task.
- Competence in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and familiarity with units of measure.
- Capability to lift and move up to 165 pounds on a regular basis.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to follow directions and work well with management and team members.
Salary: $21/hr.
