Org Performance Leader II - 14A: $66,600 - $83,200

Company Overview:
Wolf Creek Generating Station is Kansas'' first and only commercial nuclear power generating station, providing electricity for Evergy and KEPCo. Wolf Creek has been safely providing clean, reliable energy to the citizens of Kansas and Missouri since 1985. The plant generates about 1,200 megawatts of electricity, which is enough energy to power more than 800,000 homes.
Scheduled Work Hours:
Normally Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Depending on assigned duties, work hours may occasionally include up to a 12.5-hour rotational shift on days or nights including weekends. It may also include rotational on-call duties subject to a required response time to the station.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The role functions as the owner, lead, coordinator, and implementer of a station-wide program within the scope of the Organizational and Performance Improvement division. This may include, but is not limited to, the following areas: corrective action, self-assessment, coaching & observation, industry operating experience, station trending, station performance monitoring, industry performance indicators, nuclear safety culture, business planning, change management, performance assessments, leadership & talent development, knowledge transfer & retention, industry continuous improvement initiatives, and administrative tasks for both internal and external activities.
The role may also be temporarily assigned additional duties and responsibilities in support of a station outage. A program owner may also be assigned a role within the emergency response organization.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Education and Experience:
Requires at least 2 years of related experience and must demonstrate broader capability to take on more complex assignments and an enhanced level of working knowledge and experience within their discipline.
Requires at least 5 years of related experience and must possess in-depth knowledge/experience and may provide guidance and support to less experienced co-workers. Solves complex problems and contributes to process improvements
Requires at least 8 years of related experience and must demonstrate specialized depth and breadth of expertise. Recognized as the resident expert within their functions and provides guidance and support to co-workers and leaders.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
o Planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills with the ability to facilitate, coordinate, and engage at all levels of the organization as well as industry organizations.
o Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to analyze, develop, and communicate complex organizational topics and performance metrics.
o Proficient in modern computer operating systems and office software (certifications preferred) with the ability to develop and update performance reports, metrics, and presentations that include written, tabular, and visual components.
o The desire and capability to rapidly and independently learn new skills, knowledge, and abilities as needed to support performance improvement and innovation.
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Testing:
Successful candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
The primary work location is an office environment located at a nuclear power generating station. Depending on other assigned duties, it may occasionally include an industrial environment with varying conditions including temperature, humidity, noise, and weather as well as industrial equipment and radiological hazards. Partial remote work is available per the company policy and by leadership discretion. Occasional local travel to other company locations and domestic travel to attend industry events and support other generating stations is expected.
