Paradise Valley Community College PVCC is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Organic Chemistry courses with a commitment to the colleges learning-centered philosophy.
The ideal candidate will engage students through creative teaching methods, effective use of instructional technologies, and assessment-driven strategies that promote learning.
Courses may be delivered in a traditional classroom, hybrid format, or fully online. Prepare and deliver college-level in-person, online, and/or hybrid Organic Chemistry classes in accordance with official course descriptions.
Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in exploring new ways to improve instruction and promote student learning.
Some key responsibilities of the adjunct instructor include:
• Develop syllabi and course materials • Evaluate student learning through exams, assignments, and other assessments • Maintain accurate and timely course grades
Participate in division initiatives and participate in professional development focused on effective instruction and student learning.
As an adjunct instructor, you will also be expected to:
• Provide support and guidance to students in a timely way • Attend division meetings and respond promptly to job-related communications • Maintain clean, organized, and shared spaces
