Job Responsibilities

Provide individual or group instruction designed to increase orientation and mobility skills of students with visual impairments based on specific IEP goals and campus program needs. Provide training to staff to encourage consistent support for student achievement. Collaborate with school/agency staff to schedule visits and provide O&M therapy designed to increase specific skills. Consult with parents, medical staff, teachers, and other professionals regarding the needs of students. Consult with administrators, grounds and facilities staff to make recommendations regarding the most appropriate campus design to promote independence for students who are blind.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university. Orientation and Mobility Certification required. Must have 3 to 5 years of professional O&M experience in a school setting.

If selected for an interview you must provide verification of your highest level of education (i.e., copy of BA Degree, high school diploma, college transcripts) and if applicable, licensure and/or certification (i.e., nursing licensure, teacher licensure, bus driver certification).
