Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses-Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins, all located in central Georgia-and global outreach through its fully-online campus. Its enrollment of 8,400 students is largely comprised of students from most of Georgias 159 counties. Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting with planning and execution of Admission related events, including campus tours and new student orientation programs at Middle Georgia State University. This position will have administrative ownership of applications within the CRM. This position supports the efforts of new student enrollment through the Office of Admissions.
Responsibilities
Admissions Event Management (60%) -
Planning and execution of campus tours.
Planning and execution of orientation programs for new undergraduate students entering the University.
Develop, implement and maintain virtual tour and virtual orientation platforms.
Develop, analyze, and distribute reports for Admission related events, including attendance, customer surveys, effectiveness, and enrollment yields.
Collaborate with academic departments and other university offices to coordinate representation at Admission related events.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System Duties (40%) -
Import prospective student data files into the CRM.
Create, execute, and maintain automated communication plans for prospective students.
Create customized enrollment reports and dashboards for delivering actionable analytics.
Troubleshoot error reports and recommend adjustments to processes, ensuring consistent and accurate data.
Provide CRM training to new staff members, as needed.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High school diploma/GED and two years of event management: or a combination of education and directly related experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Ability to earn Salesforce Administrator Certification
Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to understand and adhere to institutional, USG, and national policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required Experience
Previous customer service experience
Technical aptitude and experience with databases and information systems
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and skill in the use of the Banner database, imaging system, and CRM system
Knowledge in strategic planning and implementation.
Preferred Experience
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Experience in administration or maintenance of CRM systems.
Experience in writing communications for marketing.
Higher education experience a plus
