As a member of the patient care team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.
Characterizes the nurse’s ability to utilize clinical reasoning which includes clinical decision making, utilization of resources, synthesis thinking coupled with nursing skills acquired through a process of situational learning and evidence-based practice.
Characterizes the nurse’s ability to involve and incorporate input from multiple sources to benefit family and community.
Characterizes the nurse as a creative educator with the ability to address individual and collective intellectual and psychomotor needs.
Characterizes the nurse’s ability to utilize new knowledge, innovative reasoning and improvement, as well as to make thoughtful decision based on contemporary evidence and research.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Valid RN License in the State of Maryland or Compact License (as applicable)
Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care/tele unit
Hospital experience required
Long-term care RN experience will be considered on a case by case basis
