    The Opportunity: What You'll Do

    As a Preschool Teacher, you will work under the direction of the Early Learning Coordinator and collaborate closely with an Assistant Teacher to bring a creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum to life.

    Spark Curiosity & Manage the Classroom

    • Design the Magic: Plan and conduct daily, safe, and engaging activities that foster social-emotional and academic growth.
    • Co-Create the Environment: Work hand-in-hand with your Assistant Teacher to maintain a clean, orderly, nurturing, and intriguing classroom.
    • Intentional Prep Time: Utilize dedicated, built-in "prep time" to dream up and prepare high-quality educational materials.

    Assess & Adapt

    • Informed Teaching: Incorporate authentic assessment into your weekly lesson plans, using the insights to customize learning for individual children and the group.
    • Track Growth: Provide bi-yearly progress reports to celebrate and track student milestones.

    Build Strong Connections

    • Partner with Families: Keep open, warm lines of communication with caregivers to support them in understanding and celebrating their child's unique development.
    • Host Conferences: Conduct bi-yearly family conferences that strengthen the home-to-school connection.
    • Collaborate with Peers: Attend and actively contribute to staff and family meetings, bringing your unique perspective to the table.

    What You Bring (Qualifications)

    The Must-Haves:

    • Licensure: A current Early Childhood B-3 teaching license issued through the Minnesota PELSB.
    • Passion for Excellence: Knowledge of the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress Birth-5, best practices, and diverse learning styles.
    • People Skills: A warm, welcoming rapport with children and caregivers, balanced with strong, positive classroom management skills.
    • The Essentials: Excellent communication, organizational skills, patience, and a high level of professional flexibility.

    Nice-to-Haves:

    • Experience using Teaching Strategies GOLD (preferred, but we love a fast learner!).
    • Experience navigating the vibrant, fast-paced environment of a public school district.

    BA Step 1 $34,431.00 to MA Step 12 $53,550.00

    FTE: .84

    INSURANCE

    Single Health: 90% Covered by District

    Employee + 1 Health: 75% Covered by District

    Dental: 100% covered by District

    Life insurance equal to annual wages: 100% Covered by District
