Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced orthodontic environment. You will work closely with the orthodontist and clinical team to provide high-quality care and ensure a positive patient experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the orthodontist during clinical procedures and patient treatment
  • Take and process orthodontic records, including photos, digital scans, and X-rays
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas following infection control protocols
  • Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed (bands, brackets, archwires, etc.)
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment compliance
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in patient records
  • Support scheduling flow and patient readiness to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple office locations as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as an Orthodontic Assistant preferred (or dental assisting experience with orthodontic exposure)
  • Radiology certification (or ability to obtain, depending on state requirements)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working in a team-based, multi-location environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and patient-first mindset
