Orthodontic Assistant

Turpin Orthodontics is looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our established locations in Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston, Louisiana! Schedule:

• Full-time
• Monday - Thursday from 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM 
• Fridays from 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM

Qualifications:

• 6+ months of orthodontic assisting experience is preferred
• Must be willing to travel to our Monroe, West Monroe, and Ruston locations on a weekly basis

Job Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Taking extraoral and intraoral photographs
• Taking dental impressions
• Sterilization and packaging of orthodontic instruments
• Disinfecting equipment and operatories
• Maintaining inventory control of all lab equipment, supplies, instruments, and consumables
• Preparing clinicians’ chair-side set-ups
• Tying and untying patients
• Applying orthodontic appliances under the supervision of the orthodontist
• Pouring models
• Fabricating retainers
• Cleaning the lab and operatories, sweeping/mopping as needed
• Cleaning common areas and removing the trash
• Providing oral hygiene and home care instructions to patients and family members
• And adherence to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations
