Responsible for application and removal of casts, molds, splints and scoliosis plaster jackets; and the adjustment of external fixators, on the order of and under the direction of an orthopedic surgeon or other physician.
Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager and /or Registered Nurse (RN), performs a variety of administrative, clinical, departmental support, and documentation duties to promote the health, safety, and comfort of CT Children's patients and families. Supports organizational and departmental quality and patient satisfaction initiatives; hand hygiene, communication skills, translation services, and Patient and Family Experience.

High School Diploma, GED, or a higher level of education that would require the completion of high school, is required.
Completion of competency of basic cast application and removal.
Experience:
One year experience in hospital or orthopedic physicians'' office, including plaster room required.

License and/or Certification Required:
BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers from Heart American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 1 month of hire and maintained thereafter.
