What Youll Be Doing
The Orthopaedic X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including extremities, spine, and other orthopaedic studies, with an emphasis on same-day imaging to support timely diagnosis and treatment. This role ensures patient safety through proper positioning, use of lead shielding, and adherence to radiation safety principles (ALARA).
Key duties include:
• Operating and maintaining imaging equipment • Accurately documenting patient and exam information • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA and OSHA • Collaborating closely with radiologists, orthopaedic surgeons, and other healthcare providers to deliver efficient, patient-centered care • Clearly communicating procedures and expectations to patients • Managing imaging supplies and inventory
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
What Were Looking For
Current NJ ARRT licensure (or eligibility, as required)
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and positioning techniques • Ability to perform imaging efficiently in a same-day service environment • Excellent communication and patient care skills • Proficiency with computers and imaging systems • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
