    Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (either Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our orthopedic team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal health outcomes.

    Schedule:

    • Schedule is varied based on the needs of the Department. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform orthopedic evaluations, including histories, exams, and musculoskeletal assessments.
    • Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans with supervising orthopedic surgeons.
    • Perform in-office procedures within scope (e.g., injections, casting, splinting, wound care).
    • Assist in surgery, including pre-op, first assist, and post-op care.
    • Manage post-operative and follow-up care, adjusting plans as needed.
    • Educate patients on conditions, treatments, recovery, and prevention.
    • Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
    • Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain continuing education and current orthopedic knowledge.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Kansas, or eligibility for licensure.
    • Graduation from a nationally accredited program.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
    • Previous medical office and surgical first assist experience preferred
