Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Orthopedic or Plastic Hand Surgeon to enhance our expanding team in the picturesque city of Lakeland, Florida. As a member of one of the largest independent health systems in Florida, you will be joining a collaborative, patient-focused environment dedicated to clinical excellence, innovation, and robust physician support.

We are eager to welcome a fellowship-trained Hand Surgeon to help broaden our comprehensive regional hand surgery program. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Ability to deliver thorough outpatient and inpatient hand surgery services.

  • Contribute significantly to the development of the region's sole dedicated hand surgery program, catering to a multicounty referral base of around one million individuals at a Level I Trauma center.

Position Highlights

  • A large employed physician group consisting of over 400 providers across more than 40 specialties.

  • A robust referral network through our primary care, neurology, rheumatology, and community physicians.

  • Join an established team that includes two Orthopedic Hand Surgeons and two Plastic Hand Surgeons.

  • Outpatient clinic equipped with on-site hand therapy, radiology, and ultrasound services.

  • Shared hand surgery call responsibilities at a single Level I Trauma Center, focusing solely on hand surgery—no general orthopedic trauma call is required.

  • Opportunity to perform surgeries in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC).

We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes 403(b), 457(b), health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, CME allowance, CME days, and malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
