    RN - Orthopedics (Clinic)

    Employment Type: Full-Time | Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic

    Location: Great Falls, MT

     

    Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the primary clinical liaison between patients, staff, and orthopedic providers. Operating within an outpatient clinic setting that emphasizes teamwork and high-quality clinical outcomes, this role focuses on providing personalized patient care, coordinating daily clinical workflows, and facilitating clear communication across the interdisciplinary team.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and manage daily clinical operations within the orthopedic clinic under provider direction, ensuring alignment with established professional standards and practices
    • Perform comprehensive triage of patient phone calls, evaluate clinical needs, and determine appropriate pathways of care or escalation to orthopedic specialists
    • Assist orthopedic providers with clinical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and specialized treatments following verified clinical competency
    • Manage clinical paperwork workflows, including processing prescription refills and completing medical prior authorizations efficiently
    • Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary clinic team, providing clear clinical direction to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and medical schedulers
    • Take and record accurate patient vital signs, update electronic medical records, and prepare patients for orthopedic consultations or post-operative follow-ups
    • Foster a safe, collaborative, and family-centered care environment while maintaining strict accountability for clinical tasks and outcomes

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
    • Current Montana State Registered Nurse (RN) license required (LPN or Certified Medical Assistant credentials considered based on experience, but RN is highly preferred for this position)
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Strong foundational knowledge of medical terminology, basic nursing principles, and orthopedic clinical procedures
    • Proficient keyboarding and electronic health record (EHR) navigation skills, combined with strong general office operation capabilities
    • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills to effectively interface with providers, patients, and ancillary staff
    • Position is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background check, drug screening, and health/immunization clearance
