Job Description:
A full-time opportunity is available for an Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Adult Reconstructive procedures. This position offers the chance to practice within a high-volume surgical program supported by a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice providers and a well-established trauma service. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities within a Level II Trauma Center environment, along with access to modern facilities and technology.
Shift / Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Call schedule: 1:5 rotation, including trauma call
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures with a focus on adult reconstruction and joint replacement
- Provide comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in trauma call coverage as part of a rotating schedule
- Collaborate with advanced practice providers in a 1:1 care model
- Utilize dedicated operating room block time for surgical cases
- Engage with an established referral network to support patient volume
- Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
- Contribute to a high-quality, patient-centered care environment
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including orthopedic trauma specialists and support staff
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program
- Fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction (preferred, not required)
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA certification
- Open to both experienced surgeons and recent fellowship-trained candidates
